Strathclyde Pension Fund , Director
Richard has worked in Local Government since 1990 and at Glasgow City Council since 1996. Since 2003 he has been responsible for managing the Council’s role as administering authority for the Strathclyde Pension Fund.
The Strathclyde Pension Fund has around 170 contributing employers including 12 local authorities, a variety of other related public sector organisations large and small, and a number of private sector contractors. Total scheme membership is over 240,000. The Fund has investment assets of around £22 billion.
McIndoe is a languages graduate and CIPFA qualified accountant. He has a number of advisory and representative roles including the CIPFA Pensions Panel, Scottish LGPS Scheme Advisory Board, PLSA Local Authority Committee and various private equity and real estate investment advisory boards. He is also a trustee of a small charitable sector pension fund.
