As a Partner at Hymans Robertson, I've advised DB pension schemes in the private sector and LGPS ranging from £50m to over £30bn on the full mix of journey planning, strategy, and investment implementation, working with every governance model you could imagine.

Much of my work focuses on helping pension funds understand where they are trying to get to, and how best to get there. I'm known for my personable and pragmatic approach, helping my clients to focus on the decisions that will have the biggest impact for their members. Alongside my client work, I'm passionate about contributing to the wider pensions industry.

I regularly chair and speak at industry events (this is my third year chairing the LGC Investment Seminar Scotland!), host the Hymans Robertson investment podcast, and contribute to industry discussions on pensions, investment strategy and governance.

I’m based in Glasgow and since this bio was updated last year I now have a young son, so play less golf / watch less rugby / drink less wine / get less sleep than I used to. Any parenting tips and iced coffee recipes most welcome!
